LLHA

The airport was established by the British in 1934 and was the first international airport in Israel. The airport served the British Royal Airforce and the joint Iraqi-British oil company (APS).

 

When the British mandate ended the airport was handed over to the Haifa Municipality.

The Haifa airport serves as an international airport as well as a domestic airport and general aviation.
